Key changes in Business Central 

  • Business Central streamlines the setup process for item categories. You can define categories with user-friendly descriptions and assign them to items directly.  User can define hierarchical relationships between categories (parent-child) for better organization. 
  • Default settings such as the Gen. Prod. Posting Group, Def. Inventory Posting Group, Def. VAT Prod Posting Group, and Def. Costing Method from the Item Category page are removed.  The expectation is that these settings will be configured directly on each individual Item Card.
