3.  Setting related to Import Items from Shopify

Auto create unknown items
  • Select the option for auto create item if the item is not existed in Business Central
  • Mapping for item creation according to the option of SKU Mapping 
  • The new item to be created using imported data (item information) and the Item Template (BC essential information)
Shopify Can Update ItemChoose this option if you want to update items and/or variants automatically.
Item Template Code

Select the item template code for setup the default data it is using when create new item by the import data

*if the item template is not created in business central, follow the steps below for setup the new template

(1) Click New in the Item Template Code page

(2) Enter Code for identify the Template

     Enter Description for the template

     Configure the fields it set up the default value for create new item

    • Type - select the field in item card which you want to setup the default value
    • Select the fields in item card in Field Name 
    • Fill up Default Value for the fields when the new item created from Shopify import data    

Variant PrefixOnly use the setting if SKU Mapping use Variant Code or Item No. + Variant Code
SKU Mapping

Choose how you want to use the SKU value imported from Shopify during the item/variant mapping and creation. 

  • Blank = The SKU field isn't used in the item mapping routine.
  • Item No. = Choose if the SKU fields contains the item no.  (e.g. item number same as SKU)
  • Vendor Item No. = Choose if the SKU fields contains the Vendor Item Number.  In this case, the mapping to be map the item with Item Vendor Catalog
  • Barcode = Choose if the SKU field contains a barcode.  In this case, the mapping to be map the Item Reference with Barcode Type
SKU Field SeparatorShopify Can Update ItemChoose this option if you want to update items and/or variants automatically

Only use the setting if SKU mapping use Item. No + Variant Code option.
