Problem
The word layout printout with barcode can no longer be scanned, the barcode itself is generate using barcode font in word
Solution
Word easily generate some trailing characters after that barcode that's not even from the original numbers
To prevent this situation, try add some character before and after the barcode and only change the the textfield in barcode field to barcode font, not the whole line or whole text box
- Delete the original text barcode textbox
- Create a text like **A**
- Highlight *A* in the middle, use "Developer" > "XML Mapping Pane" to insert your barcode field as plain text
- As a result, you will get a line looks like *[BarcodeField]*
- Highlight ONLY [BarcodeField] , and change that to barcode font, so the display like below
- In this case, there will be very clear that no leading or trailing tab or space or hidden characters
