Objective:
Automatically add the item line to the sales quote or sales order for BOM items if the item is free of charge. Additionally, if the item has an installation fee, the sales line for it will also be automatically added.
Setup Item Card and BOM:
(1) Assembly BOM - New checkbox: ‘Free Item.’ Tick the checkbox to indicate whether the ‘accessories’ are free of charge.
Refer to the case example: If a sales line is added for item "MAD-7-PFEE" and the quantity (Qty) is entered, the system will automatically add new sales line for item "7007506"
(2) Item Card - Also Auto Explode non-free BOM
If you want all the ‘accessories,’ regardless of whether the item is a Free Item or not, you can set ‘Also Auto Explode non-free BOM
Refer to the case example: If a sales line is added for item ‘MAD-7-PFEE’ and the quantity (Qty) is entered, the system will automatically add new sales lines for items ‘7007506’ and ‘4204490
Case Handling
(1) If all ‘Accessories’ in the assembly BOM are non-free items and the option ‘Also Auto Explode non-free BOM’ is disabled, the user can use the ‘Explode BOM’ function to add the BOM item to the sales line.”
(2) The "Auto BOM" and "Installation Charge" function only applicable for Sales Quote and Sales Order.
(3) Installation Charge
Default "Installation Item No." and the Price can be setup in Item Card.
If a sales line is added for the item, the system will automatically add new sales lines for items based on the Installation Item No and the Installation Item Price.
