Mix & Match Discount allows another type (more detailed) of bundle selling.
Setting up a Mix & Match discount involves defining Line Groups to categorize items that will be part of the offer.
Before setting up the discount, user must know the meaning to set up Line Group Code
By organizing your items into Line Groups, you can easily manage and apply discounts to specific combinations of products, enhancing your promotional strategies.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you decide and set up Line Groups:
Identify the Items: Determine which items will be included in the Mix & Match offer. These can be individual items, product groups, item categories, or special groups.
Create Line Groups: Line Groups are used to categorize the items in your offer. For example, if you have an offer where buying a pair of pants gets a belt for free, you can assign all qualifying pants to Line Group A and all belts to Line Group.
From below, Line Group Code value = "3" means total 3 items are needed from this group, to trigger the discount condition.
*User can setup another group = B / C / D... and include a list of items into it.
Set Up the Offer:
- Go to the Mix & Match setup page in Business Central.
- On the Lines FastTab, click Add to include items, product groups, or categories.
- Assign each item to the appropriate Line Group
Define Discounts: Specify the discount type and amount for each Line Group. For example, you can set a percentage discount, a deal price, or make the least expensive item free.
- Configure Additional Settings: You can also set conditions such as the number of items needed to trigger the discount and any exclusions.
- Additional Benefit: Enjoy a deal price for the item.
Case 1: The "Buy 3 get 1 free" case
In this cae buying 3 Item A can also get the discount. If user would like to set the discount with buying no repeat items, Line Group must be set 1:1 of Item (each item assigned with 1 Line Group).
Case 2: Buy a pair of the Item = $5
Case 3: One Items from Group A + Two Items from Group B, enjoy 20% discount off.
Group A set value =1, Group B set value = 2
