NOTE: if use Administrator login to VM 111, the short cut Change Profile and Change Profie.txt already created in the desktop for allow IT admin to configure the Profile.
Step-by-Step guide to configure the Profile by use the configuration mode.
Step 1- Found the information for prepare the string for "target" profile you intended to edit
(1) The instant Port No - the port no, can be find in NAV Administration
(2) The instant Name - the instant name can be fine in NAV Administration
(3) The profile ID - the profile ID can be found in the Profiles of the DB it associated to the Instant
Step 2 - open the txt file "Change Profile"
Copy the existing string and change the value according to the information you prepared in Step 1
Step 3 - right click the Change Profile short cut, and then select Properties.
Step 4 - copy the string for the target profile into the field "Target", and then click OK
Step 5 - open the configuration mode by clicking on the Change Profile short cut
The Profile ID to be shows on top left conner. "Configuration Mode" and the related DB to be shows on the top right conner.
User can continue to edit the profile. Close the Configuration mode when it done.
If the user currently use the profile on the related DB, when the user login again, the profile to be updated accordingly. The existing user personalization remain no change.
