Create template for Customer, Vendor and Item for easy to create the master record and prevent missing enter the key value such as posting group, dimension as well as reduce mistake on select the incorrect value for same type of data.

About Template for Customer, Vendor, Item 

  1. If you want to make a new template from existing record,  open a record, then select Actions, Functions, and Save as Templates.  The data in current record to be copy to template accordingly.
  2. If only 1 template created for the master, system will default related value according to the template when new record.
  3. If more than 1 template created for the master, system will prompt the template selection dialogue when create new record.
  4. If multiple no. series for the record (e.g. Vendor, Item), ignore the template selection when create record, then use “Apply Template” function to apply the default value from template.

Item Template

  • For example, user can setup template for different type of item it use the same Posting Group, Type or Inventory no Value etc

Customer / Vendor Template

  •  Setup template for different type of Customer 
    • Trade / Intercompany
    • Local Currency / Foreign Currency
    • Posting Group

To add a new template

  1. Search 'Template', then click show all

2. You can find Item Template, Vendor Template or Customer Template on the list.  Select the template you want to add a new template to.

To add a new template from Existing Record

1.Open the record (e.g. Customer)

2.Select Actions, Functions, Save as Template...

To add a Apply template to current Record

1.Open the record you want to apply data from existing template

2. Select Actions, Functions, Apply Template...
