The User Setup in Business Central is used to configure various settings for individual users. Here are some key fields and their purposes:

User ID: Identifies the user within the system.
Allow Posting From/To: Defines the date range within which the user is allowed to post transactions.
Approval Limits: Sets limits for sales and purchase approvals, including whether the user has unlimited approval rights.
Substitute: Specifies a substitute user who can act on behalf of the user.
Contact Information: Includes fields like email and phone number for user contact details.


Customization fields developed for facilitate the Approval Workflow function.  Please follow the steps below to complete the user setup before creating the Purchase Request.

1 - Click Search button then enter "Approval Workflows" into search box then select the link

2 - Fill up the fields below:

1, User ID - Select from Users.  The User ID can be recorded in Purchase Request - Requested By

2, GM - Define the user is / is not General Manager.

    *When the Purchase Request is approved the General Manager with E-Signature to be shown in the Purchase Requisition Report.

3, Can view PR Quotation - Users checked with this box, is able to see the Quotation Line, Vendor Quotation from Purchase Request.

4, E-Mail - enter the Email Account it use for receipt the email notification when the notification to be send to the user.

   *This email is used to receive the notification of Approval

5, E-Signature (In Purchase Requisition Report)

   *Currently, only Purchase Request Form included the e-signature for GM.
