Item Categories helps to group items into different categories for easy to sort and find items as well as use for report filter criteria.


Step-by-Step guide

1, Use search function to find "Item Categories"

2. Click "New" to add new categories

3. Enter Code and a description for the categories.

4. If the item category belongs to a Parent Category, assign the Parent Category.

If user is setting up the code for Parent Category, leave the field "Parent Category" blank.

5. Assign the default attributes for the item category (optional)

6. When assign the Item Category to the item, default item attributes to be added into the item card

   Go to Item => Attributes to fill up the value.
