Purchase Order Dates

Requested Receipt Date
  • To record the date you wanted to receive the goods from the Vendor
  • Can use for measure what you requested against what the vendor promised 
  • This date to be blank unless user populate it
  • When the Requested Receipt Date is populated, this date to be use for populate the Planned Receipt Date
  • The Planned Receipt Date is the date that expected to arrive at the WH location (e.g. ETA)
Promised Receipt Date
  • To record the date that the Vendor promised they would deliver the goods
  • Can use for measure what you requested against what the vendor promised 
  • System adds the INBOUND WAREHOUSE HANDLING TIME to the Promised Receipt Date to set the Expected Receipt Date
Expected Receipt Date
  • The date you currently expect vendor to deliver the order
  • This is the date you expect the goods to be available in the storage location.
  • When this date is populated, NAV recalculates the Planned Receipt Date.
Planned Receipt Date
  • This is the date you expect the order to arrive at your facility
  • This date included the warehouse time to receive and inspect the inbound purchase orders.

Sales Order Dates

  • Define the financial posting of the document

Order Date
  • The date for when this sales order created

Document Date
  • Populated to posted sales invoice and base on this date to calculate the sales invoice due date
  • Document Date + Due date calculation of the payment terms
Requested Delivery Date
  • This is the date the Customer has requested that the goods be delivered at their location 
  • This date will be blank unless you populate it.
  • When the Requested Delivery Date is populated, system uses this date along with SHIPPING TIME and WAREHOUSE OUTBOUND HANDLING TIME to determine when the order must be shipped to arrive at the customer on this date.
  • System subtracts the SHIPPING TIME from the Requested Delivery date and populates the Planned Shipment Date.
  • The WAREHOUSE OUTBOUND HANDLING TIME is subtracted from the Planned Ship Date and populates the Shipment Date on the Sales Lines
Promised Delivery Date
  • This is the date you initially promised the customer that you would deliver the goods to them
  • Populating this date will reset the Shipment Date based on the SHIPPING TIME and WAREHOUSE OUTBOUND HANDLING TIME.
  • System backwards calculates the shipment date to make sure it arrives at the Customer by the date you promised the customer.
  • System subtracts the SHIPPING TIME from the Promised Delivery Date and populates the Planned Shipment Date.
  • The WAREHOUSE OUTBOUND HANDLING TIME is subtracted from the Planned Ship Date and populates the Shipment Date on the Sales Lines.
Planned Delivery Date
  • This is the date you now plan to deliver the goods to the customer
  • This date can be manually set or calculated by adding the SHIPPING TIME to Planned Shipment date.
  • This field is automatically calculated when any of the following sales order line fields are changed:
      Outbound Warehouse Handling
      Shipping Time
      Planned Shipment Date
      Shipment Date
Planned Shipment Date
  • This is the date you expect the order to leave your facility.
  • It is different from the Shipment Date in that it may take the warehouse time to pack and ship orders

Shipment Date
  • The Shipment Date is the date the planning system uses to schedule product to be available for shipment. 

  • No labels
