Create a button to link up items and promotions so on.

Notice/注意事項

Before adding the button for the new item. Please change the system language to Japanese to verify the button translation.
The POS support multi language to display. It control by the system language to show related wording. Therefore, if the button wording is using Chinese as the main language and it has to change to Japanese to verify the wording.

1. Click the user icon and open the My Settings menu.


2. Open the language dropdown list by clicking the > button.


3. Select the Japanese (Japan) option and click the OK button.


4. Click the OK button to apply the setting.


Step-by-step guide

Adding the button by GUI (POS layout)

  1. Open the testing POS in Server. Please ensure selected correct test terminal. Reference this guide for more detail. 
    Open the Retail User page to verify. 可以使用切換店鋪快捷鍵


  2. In the Home menu and select the Run Web Client button to run POS.


  3. Or use the Search function to enter a keyword (Run Web Client) to run the POS.
    The search icon can find in TopRight corner.


  4. If it return the error as below, please close these error message boxes.


  5. Login the POS by staff ID and password or use the general POS staff ID by clicking the Staff (従業員) button and enter the password.


  6. Select the item menu to edit.


  7. Find the empty button or the button which want to update. Then, right click the button and select Button Properties to open the properties page.
    Please reference the below explain in Steps 3 to setup the button.

  8. Also, It support copy and paste. So, if the new item same as existing item. Point the mouse and right click the button. Then, select Copy to copy the button. (Window Client only)
  9. Find empty button and right click the button. Then, select Paste to paste the button.


Adding the button by menu setting page.

  1. Open the POS Menu shortcut button and select the menu to open.


  2. The new testing items are belong to Tea menu. Please find the description Latte menu/找拿鐵選單 edit it.
    Can use the Find function and enter keyword to search. 


  3. According to the menu setting, the menu layout is 4x4 total 16 buttons.
    Currently, the menu will order by Green Tea, Red Tea, Oolong Tea items, and so on.

    Command:
    In general, one button can run 2 commands at one time. Except, it uses Macro command.
    PLU_K - Item key (Select this command and has to enter item number at Parameter column)
    Menu3 - This command is used to change menu 3 of the main POS screen. The most command has to specify the parameter (menu) that it has changed for. In the item menu, it is usually set for after run the PLU_K command. So, it will use in the Post Command column.
    Skin - Specify the button color, shape, and so on. Please reference same type item setting.
    Font - Specify the wording display font, color and size.
    Description - Button display word. As previously before, it can enter Chinese and add other language translations to the button. If not, it can leave blank and it will automatically fill the item description during enter the PLU_K command into the Command column.

    In the below sample, the Black Tea Latte and Caramel Black Tea Latte, these drinks belong to red tea drink, these will add to Key No.9-10 and leave 11-12 blank to separate another type item(s).


    Remark/備註

    If edit the button with the Menu type command, the system will auto generate the in the top right corner. If want to remove it, please select the button and open the Properties of the Line menu.
    Expand the Glyphs section and remove the Glyph 1 value or change it to None.


    For batch remove the glyph from the button at once. Find an empty button or ensure that button no any glyphs. Then, select that button and open the Glyphs from the Line menu.
    Select the Copy Glyphs button.


    Select the empty glyph and put check mark on that checkbox. Click the OK button to close.


    Use the Assist button to select multi lines and click the Paste Glyphs button to apply.

  4. If the new item can't share the existing options menu (Speitems-xxx). Then, it needs to create/copy a menu to edit the option for the new item.
    For example, Red Bean Tangyuan Matcha Latte can add bubble topping in medium size only. But, general Latte drinks can add most toppings.
    Therefore, it has to create/copy a similar option menu and rename it as following rule Speitems-[drink type]_N[sequence number]_[size]. 
  5. Select the similar option menu and click the Create New From button.
