This information applies to Jet Reports 2010 and higher.
If you are setting up many workstations with the same Data Source and/or Application settings, you may want to set up the first workstation, then export these settings and import them to all other workstations. You can also use the Export feature as a way to back up these settings.
Step-by-step guide
Exporting Data Source Settings:
- Open the Data Source Settings.
- Click the Export button and then choose Data Sources... (In some early versions, select File | Export. )
- Select which Data Sources you want to export and press Export.
- Choose a name and location for the exported .xml file.
- Click Save.
Importing Data Source Settings:
- Open the Data Source Settings and select File | Import.
- Click the Import button and choose Data Sources... (in some early versions, select File | Import.)
- Browse to the exported .xml file that you saved and select Open.
- Select which Data Sources you want to import.
- Select Import.
