Sales & Receivables setup use for defining how sales will be processed.  


Follow the steps below for the setup.

1, Use search function to find Sales & Receivable Setup


2, Setup the basic configuration as below: 

General Tab

Setup for the fields below it related to Sales Process

  1. Stock Waring - select this option for warning displayed when you enter quantity in sales document that brings an item inventory level below zero
  2. Ext. Doc. No. Mandatory - select this option if enter external document no. in sales documents is mandatory
  3. Default Qty. to Ship -
    • select Remainder for allow system default the remaining qty to the field "Qty to Ship",
    • select Blank for allow user to enter the field manually before post shipment 
  4.  Copy Comments - select the option for copy the comment from previous document to current document according to sales document flow.
  5. Cal. Inv. Discount - setup if Sales Discount function is in use (e.g. Customer Discount is setup for customer).  Select the field for allow system calculate the discount amount in sales document. 
  6. Igore Updated Addresses - specify copy address from sales document to customer master if it changed in sales document.  By default, change is copied to the customer card
  7. Quote Validity Calculation - enter the calculation formula for calculate the Quote Valid To Date in Sales Quote


Dimensions Tab

Enter Customer Group Dimension and Salesperson Dimension if any.  The default sales related dimension can use for sales analysis reports.


No Series Tab

Assign the numbering for customer and sales documents.

Archiving Tab

In Business Central, one the document is converted to document for next step, for example, Convert Quote to Order or Post sales document

the original document to be deleted by system.  Select the Archiving option for archive for the document if needs.
